PHASE ONE: MEDICAL DETOX

Upon admission, we’ll assess your medical and substance use history, plus any mental health needs. If detox is needed, we’ll create an individualized plan to manage withdrawal safely and comfortably. 

 We’re here to make it  comfortable and easy.
Our team is here 24/7 — with professional support and medication, if necessary, to help you detox safely and ease withdrawal effects.

Our detox program treats dependence on a wide range of substances, including:

PHASE TWO: Recovery

Healing continues through trauma-informed care combined with experiential recovery.

Patients work with our goats and chickens, tend our gardens, hike nature trails, and engage in meaningful farm work. These activities provide grounding experiences that build confidence, purpose, and connection.

Alongside daily therapy and recovery education, patients participate in experiential programming designed to rebuild stability, develop healthier coping strategies, and create lasting recovery skills in a supportive, structured residential environment.

Our compassionate and skilled therapists create a supportive environment for healing. Residential care provides a structured daily routine that includes therapy, recovery education, and guidance from our team, with support available 24/7.

As you step back into everyday life, we help you build the skills and support you need to stay strong in recovery — at work, at home, and everywhere in between. Our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) provide structure and support as you regain your independence.

Makayla Parker

Director of Admissions

Makayla is passionate about helping individuals and families take the first step toward healing.

With extensive experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment, she is known for her compassionate approach, and ability to help people feel supported during some of their most difficult moments.

Dedicated to making the admissions process as smooth, welcoming, and accessible as possible, Makayla believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity, empathy, and respect from the very first phone call.

She works closely with referral sources, families, and clinical teams to ensure individuals receive the care and support they need for lasting recovery.

Outside of work, Makayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, continuing her education, and advocating for growth, healing, and connection within the recovery community.  

 

Maria Bailey

Primary Therapist

Maria Bailey brings 20 years of sobriety and a lifelong commitment to helping others into her work with the recovery community.

Her background spans substance abuse support, crisis management, and emergency communications, and she holds a Master of Education in Forensic Psychology — experience that has shaped a deep understanding of human behavior, trauma, and the recovery process.

Maria believes every person deserves encouragement, understanding, and the opportunity to build a healthier, more meaningful life — whether they’re beginning their journey or continuing the work of long-term recovery. At Willow Grove, she is committed to creating a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered as they navigate lasting change.

Kelly Fiers

Licensed Practical Nurse

Kelly Fiers is a Licensed Practical Nurse at Willow Grove Recovery, passionate about supporting individuals on their journey through recovery. She strives to create a caring, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. Kelly brings experience across behavioral health, family medicine, and public health, which has shaped her well-rounded approach to nursing. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and sons, along with her dogs and cats — all of whom keep her grounded and grateful every day.

 

Abbigail Wainscott

Registered Nurse

Abbigail Wainscott is a Registered Nurse on the Willow Grove team. Outside of work, she’s happiest creating — crocheting, making things from scratch, and canning — and spending time outdoors hiking, hunting, fishing, and camping with her four beloved cats nearby. Her ultimate goal in life is to homestead.

 

Jennifer Lee Taylor 

Nurse Practitioner – FNP-C

Jennifer brings more than 14 years of clinical practice across family medicine, addiction medicine, and mental health, with the last nine years focused on substance use and mental health disorders. She has a particular passion for supporting expectant mothers facing substance use challenges and advocating for this vulnerable population.

A graduate of Brigham Young University and Vanderbilt University, Jennifer is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Vanderbilt alongside post-master’s studies in Psychiatric Mental Health and Nursing Education. She also partners with the local drug coalition, mentors nursing students, and is co-founding a mental health clinic — all reflecting her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys life as a wife and mother, supporting her family in their many endeavors.

 

Leah Kane

Registered Nurse


Leah Kane began her healthcare career in 2011 as a certified nurse’s assistant, earned her LPN in 2017, and became an RN in 2019. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, empathetic care and building meaningful connections with patients in recovery. Having witnessed addiction personally through loved ones who have navigated recovery programs, Leah brings both understanding and genuine support to the individuals she serves. Outside of work, she enjoys camping with her husband and two children, listening to audiobooks, trying new restaurants, and just about any activity that involves being in the sunshine.

 

Arianna Newton Registered Nurse, Detox – RN


Arianna Newton is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about helping individuals through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Working in detox allows her to combine clinical skill with empathy, providing safe, supportive, and judgment-free care to patients beginning their recovery journey. Arianna enjoys building trust with patients, advocating for their needs, and encouraging hope and healing during a vulnerable time. Her goal is to create a calm and supportive environment where patients feel respected, cared for, and empowered toward recovery.

 

Sara Parker

Director of Nursing – MSN, RN


Sara Parker brings six years of nursing experience across multiple areas of healthcare to her role as Director of Nursing. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and creating a safe, supportive environment for healing. Sara understands the profound impact addiction can have on individuals and families, and she is committed to ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, respected, and supported throughout their recovery journey.

 

Jasmyne Lyons

Nurse Practitioner – MSN, APRN, FNP-C


Jasmyne Lyons brings more than a decade of mental health experience across outpatient, community, school-based, and telehealth settings. Her clinical focus includes mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and complex mental health concerns, with a particular passion for working alongside people in recovery. Compassionate, direct, and deeply collaborative, Jasmyne helps clients understand their patterns and build treatment plans that feel empowering and sustainable.

Outside of work, she’s a self-described “silly, thematic mom” who loves cooking, DIY projects, and the small traditions that make life meaningful.

 

Brandy Simons

Lead Case Manager


Brandy Simons is a mother and a woman in long-term recovery who brings deep compassion, empathy, and lived experience to her work. With years in the recovery field, she’s currently pursuing her LADAC under supervision. Clients value her genuine, relatable approach and her constant willingness to show up for them. Outside of work, Brandy recharges through simple moments with her family.

 

Jessica Harvey

Program Director

Jessica Harvey has worked in the recovery and treatment field for over four years, bringing compassion, optimism, and genuine curiosity to her work each day. She is deeply passionate about understanding how the mind, body, and spirit heal and grow throughout the recovery process.

One of Jessica’s favorite parts of working in treatment is witnessing individuals reconnect with themselves and rediscover what truly brings them joy and purpose.

Outside of work, she can often be found at live concerts or dog parks—two places she believes radiate the best energy and sense of connection.

Recovery has given Jessica more than she ever imagined. It has fueled her growth into the person she strives to be, the mother her daughter deserves, and a steady, supportive presence for those walking a path she once traveled herself.

Meredith Hugh

Business Development Representative

Meredith Hugh loves building connection and community.

As someone in recovery herself, Meredith brings real empathy, openness, and heart to everything she does. She believes healing happens when people feel truly seen, supported, and reminded that meaningful connection can turn survival into a life worth living.

With over six years in the recovery field as an advocate and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Meredith has walked alongside many individuals on their journeys toward healing. Recovery helped her find her purpose, and she’s grateful to give that hope back to others every day.

Temicka M. Tate

Director of Nursing

Temicka M. Tate, RN, BSN has spent over 30 years caring for people in healthcare, with a special focus on detox and addiction recovery. As a Tennessee multistate Registered Nurse and nursing leader, she is known for her calm presence, compassion, and commitment to helping patients feel safe and supported.

Temicka works closely with patients and care teams during some of life’s hardest moments, guiding individuals through withdrawal and early recovery with empathy, professionalism, and respect. She believes healing happens best in an environment built on dignity, trust, and teamwork.

Dr. Millard D. Collins

Medical Director

Dr. Millard D. Collins, MD, FAAFP is a board-certified family medicine physician and the Medical Director at Willow Grove Recovery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana and earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College.

Dr. Collins brings decades of clinical and leadership experience to his role, having served as Residency Program Director, Associate Dean of Student & Academic Affairs, and Chair of Family & Community Medicine. A Harvard Macy Scholar with advanced training in geriatrics from UCLA, he is a nationally respected educator and advocate for patient-centered care.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Collins is the host of Ask Dr. Mickey with Karen Love, a weekly radio and digital program focused on honest, accessible conversations about health and wellness.

At Willow Grove Recovery, Dr. Collins is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive treatment environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and guided toward lasting wellness. He believes recovery works best when care is thoughtful, personal, and grounded in dignity and trust.

Nick Talmo

Executive Director

Nick Talmo is driven by service and a heartfelt desire to support others who are walking a path similar to his own. In long-term recovery himself, Nick leads with humility and a strong belief that lasting recovery is built through spiritual growth, daily routines, and living the Twelve Steps. His passion for this work comes from lived experience and a sincere desire to give back what was freely given to him.

At Willow Grove Recovery, Nick is known for his calm presence, openness, and ability to help people feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning of their journey. He believes healing happens when people feel understood, respected, and encouraged every step of the way.

Outside of work, Nick is a devoted husband to his wife Megan, a proud dad to Hudson, and a dog dad to two pups. He remains deeply grateful for his recovery and feels honored every day to walk alongside others as they move toward lasting healing and wellness.
