Recovery doesn’t end at discharge

Finishing treatment is a milestone, not a finish line. Recovery is a lifelong journey, and our alumni program is here to support you every step of the way — long after your last day on campus.

The alumni program is free to everyone who completes a program at Willow Grove Recovery, and there’s no expiration date on it. Whether you left six weeks ago or six years ago, you’re still one of us.

What the alumni program offers

Ongoing resources

Access support groups, counseling, 12-step workshops, and events designed to keep your recovery strong long-term.

Stay connected

Join a community of alumni who understand your journey. Share your wins, your challenges, and keep growing together with people who don’t need it explained to them.

A way back if you need one

If things get shaky, call. Reaching out early is not a failure — it’s the whole point of staying connected. We’ll help you get the right support back in place quickly, without judgment.

What alumni get

Alumni support groups to stay accountable and connected
12-step workshops that keep the framework you built in treatment active
Counseling resources and referrals when you need more than a meeting
Community events on campus, including time on the farm and the trails
Peer mentorship, both receiving it and eventually giving it
Family support, because the people around you are in recovery too
Most relapses don’t start with a drink or a pill. They start with isolation. The alumni program exists to keep that from being where your story goes.

Giving back

A lot of our alumni end up on the other side of the table — sharing their story with people who just arrived, sponsoring someone, or showing up to an event because a newcomer needs to see that long-term sobriety is real. Many of our own team members are in long-term recovery themselves. If you want to be involved that way, tell us.

Where the alumni program fits

Alumni support is the last phase of our continuum of care, and the one with no end date. It follows detox, residential treatment, and outpatient care through PHP and IOP.

Our levels of care
Medical Detox — 7–14 days, 24/7 clinical care
Residential Rehab — 30–60 days, live-in treatment
Partial Hospitalization (PHP) — Day treatment, evenings at home
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) — Structured therapy, living at home
Alumni Program — Ongoing support for life (you are here)

See how the phases fit together on our how it works page.

Frequently asked questions

Who can join the alumni program?

Anyone who has completed a program at Willow Grove Recovery. There’s no cost and no time limit on membership.

How do I get involved?

Call (931) 410-6400 or send us a message and we’ll get you on the alumni list and let you know about upcoming groups and events.

What if I relapse?

Call us. A relapse doesn’t remove you from the community, and it doesn’t mean starting over from zero. We’ll help you get the right level of care back in place right away.

Can my family be involved?

Yes. Recovery affects everyone in the household, and family members are welcome at many alumni events and support offerings.

Do I have to live nearby to participate?

No. Many alumni stay connected from a distance. On-campus events are near Clarksville, TN, about an hour from Nashville, but staying connected doesn’t depend on being local.
